O ex-minimalista rendeu-se \u00e0 evid\u00eancia e comp\u00f4s o seu pr\u00f3prio teclado rom\u00e2ntico para a fita de Christopher Hampton (que, diga-se a prop\u00f3sito, recrutara Michael Nyman para a banda sonora de \u201cCarrington\u201d), sobre um romance de Joseph Conrad, com Bob Hoskins, Patricia Arquette e G\u00e9rard Depardieu a darem o corpo ao manifesto no cap\u00edtulo da representa\u00e7\u00e3o. A partitura original teve a condu\u00e7\u00e3o do velho compincha de Glass, Michael Riesman, os instrumentos est\u00e3o nas m\u00e3os da English Chamber Orchestra, incluindo quatro solistas, em harpa, violoncelo, trompa e obo\u00e9, e flauta e \u201cpiccolo\u201d, e a direc\u00e7\u00e3o musical foi entregue a Harry Rabinowitz. A m\u00fasica aguenta-se, navegando nos primeiros temas nas mem\u00f3rias subtilmente subvertidas do malfadado \u201cPiano\u201d, compondo imagens que decerto far\u00e3o o deleite sonora de muita gente. Depois a coisa escurece, arrancando suspens\u00f5es pr\u00f3prias de um \u201cthriller\u201d e movimenta\u00e7\u00f5es ambientais, entre o cl\u00e1ssico e o pronto-a-vestir.<br \/>\nUm Glass diferente?
