Os Orchestral Manoeuvres inclu\u00edram-se neste segundo grupo, ao lado dos Depeche Mode e Yazoo. Disc\u00edpulos dos Kraftwerk (que, segundo se conta, consideraram os OMD os seus mais cred\u00edveis seguidores), o grupo destacou-se da elabora\u00e7\u00e3o de melodias facilmente traute\u00e1veis, apoiadas no previs\u00edvel arsenal electr\u00f3nico, que se encontram espalhadas ao longo da sua j\u00e1 vasta discografia em \u00e1lbum. A maior parte destas can\u00e7\u00f5es foi editada em paralelo em \u201csingle\u201d, reunindo a presente colect\u00e2nea a totalidade de temas lan\u00e7ados neste formato at\u00e9 1985 pelos OMD, como \u201cElectricity\u201d, \u201cEnola Gay\u201d, \u201cSouvenir\u201d, \u201cJoan of Arc\u201d, \u201cTelegraph\u201d e \u201cLocomotion\u201d, entre outros.
