Antes disso, tocara com Dylan e fizera duo com o vocalista Ian Hunter, ap\u00f3s a dissolu\u00e7\u00e3o dos Mott the Hoople, uma banda de \u201crhythm \u2018n\u2019 blues\u201d progressivo dos anos 70, de que aquele m\u00fasico fazia parte. Mick Ronson morreu no ano passado, podendo considerar-se \u201cHeaven and Hull\u201d como o seu testemunho p\u00f3stumo e, ao mesmo tempo, uma homenagem da parte dos m\u00fasicos, alguns deles famosos, que participam no \u00e1lbum: Bowie, em \u201cLike a rolling stone\u201d, de Dylan, e \u201cAll the Young Dudes\u201d, tema que celebrizou os Mott the Hoople pela m\u00e3o do \u201cthin white duke\u201d \u2013 aqui numa vers\u00e3o ao vivo retirada do concerto de tributo a Freddy Mercury, em que participam, al\u00e9m de Bowie, Ian Hunter, Joe Elliott, dos Def Leppard, e os Queen Chrissie Hynde e John Mellencamp. Energia de alta voltagem num disco de puro \u201crock \u2018n\u2019 roll\u201d. Com uma excep\u00e7\u00e3o, \u201cMaria\u201d, um solo de guitarra ac\u00fastica onde Mick Ronson mostra que, de certeza, deve ter ouvido guitarras portuguesas a tocarem fado.
