Se \u201cCobra\u201d apostava na sofistica\u00e7\u00e3o dos arranjos e da produ\u00e7\u00e3o e acentuava o lado mais \u201ceasy listening\u201d da banda, disfar\u00e7ando alguma falta de ideias, \u201cThe First of the Microbe Hunters\u201d, pelo contr\u00e1rio, \u00e9 um dos \u00e1lbuns mais musculados de toda a discografia dos Stereolab, possu\u00eddo por um furor \u201cfunky\u201d que, logo no tema de abertura, se desenrola inflexivelmente nos nove minutos de \u201cOuter Bongolia\u201d, um \u201cGroove\u201d prolongado e repetitivo em torno do qual se v\u00e3o agarrando, como trepadeiras, pequenas frases de saxofone, vibrafone e sintetizadores. Uma op\u00e7\u00e3o que retoma o igualmente hipn\u00f3tico tema que abre \u201cEmperor Tomato\u201d e faz dos Sterolab, definitivamente, os sucessores dos Can para o novo mil\u00e9nio. Quando a voz de Laetitia Sadier surge desdobrada em harmonias celestiais, no tema seguinte, \u201cIntervals\u201d, o contraste funciona de forma admir\u00e1vel, projectando esta can\u00e7\u00e3o para o dom\u00ednio dos anjos. Os Stereolab pertiram, ali\u00e1s, num foguet\u00e3o para regi\u00f5es onde a \u201cspace age bachelor pad music\u201d de Esquivel se metamorfoseia num astro do futuro e que os faz anunciar na pop de cetim de \u201cThe First of the Microbe Hunters\u201d: \u201cI feel the air (of another planet)\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>02.06.2000 Stereolab The First of the Microbe Hunters (8\/10) Duophonic, distri.
